Making Music Videos

Hey, sorry i haven’t written in a while, been a bit busy.

Well my first class every day is ICT which is computers and well its very interesting. We’ve been using Flash its a program where you can make thing move around. I just finished making a movie about our school. It has our school then the name comes in then it fades away then our school team which is the tigers come up in words then you two tiger come beside it and then the final part is the word tigers morphs into a big orange tiger. That movie took about a week to make.

Now were starting to to make a music videos. We have to pick a band or a singer then pick a song they have and make a movie out of it. The movie will my between 2-3 minutes long. The program isn’t very hard to use but it can get really confusing, then you mess up. usually you can find out what you did wrong.

High School

Hey everyone, well were back in school. I’m in high school, that sounds a bit scary, but the first day was alright I guess. When the bell rung this morning we didn’t know where to go because we thought we had to go our first class right away but we didn’t we had to go to our tag room. After our tag we went to our first class which was in the computer lab, which all we did was hock up the computers and went over rules, next class was art, which we did a little bit of work and went over rules. After lunch we had English, which we did work for most of it and went over more rules about the class room. The last class of the day was social studies which we went over rules then did work. So my day wasn’t too bad. Not much goes on the first day of school.

Exams are coming

Exams are coming up and I really don’t want to write one. I think I might have to write two so far. I also want exams to come because we get out of school when there down. So were going to be getting out of school soon. On the social studies exam there a lot to study, on the science there a lot too, math you just have to know, and L.A. there’s a lot but most of it is stuff that we’ve down on the computer  like blogs, podcasts and other stuff that we did. I have to start studying for exams now so,

Poetry Chapbook

In L.A. were making our own poetry chapbooks. It’s a bit hard but after you start writing it gets a bit easier.  We got to pick our own topic for the chapbooks, my topic is soccer. We have to writer 12-15 poems and 8 different forms of poetry. Then for the chapbook we have to have 8-10 poems and 6 different forms. We also have to make an introduction page. I really don’t want to make an introduction page. I really like poetry and it’s not hard to make.

Do you think classes should be learning about copyright or not? Do you think this a good site to be learning about copyright or not?
I think we should be learning about copyright in school because it’s important. I don’t think this is a good site to be learning copyright from.

This site has a kid side and a teacher’s side, the kid’s side is ok for little kids but little kids are a bit small to be learning about copyright. They should have a part for teens because I don’t think that there going to want to be doing crossword or ding a coloring book. They have comics but there not very good because one is like a boy makes a comic book then someone steals it form him the sells it in the hallway of the school and says that he made it. I think that’s a really bad way to show what copyright is.

I think the site should redo it, to make it  a bit better.

Computers

This week in computers we went to this web site called the Webby Awards. It’s about websites that people nominate for the best. There’s different categories like movie’s and education. Some of the websites are a bit strange but also different.  We had to rate different websites. The next thing that our teacher showed us was a website that you could put web address in the then it would make a graph of how many people are connected to the web site and how you’re connected to. I liked both websites but I think that Websites as Graphs was the best because it’s interesting and because were learnering about different kind of graphs.

Readers Theatre

Tomorrow me and my partner have to give our play in fornt of the class. I’m a bit nervous becuae I’m shy and don’t like doing anything in fornt of people. We have practiced a lot and I think were really good. The emotionmakes it all come to life. Were not aloud to act it out we have to read it out and we have to make it sound like were acting it out by the emotion we put in with our voices. I am so glad that were not the only ones that have to perform tomorrow. Me and my partner wrote the whole script and it’s really good.

Rome Readers Theatere

In social studies were making a play. We have to do the play without any movement and props, but were aloud to dress up for it. Me and my partner are doing a rich roman woman that boss’s her slave around. The play has to based on Ancient Rome. The play has to be about five to six minutes long. My play so far in almost five minutes and it’s kind of funny. I’m being the slave and my partner April is being the rich woman who boss’s me around. This is one of our final projects on Rome it is worth a lot of marks. This project is out of 80 marks so we have to do well on this because it could bring down our mark, and it’s almost the end of the year so we have to keep our marks up.
